Out for a buggy ride …
In 1980, Kloter Farms began as the name would imply; as a small family farm selling hay and shavings and caring for horses and ponies. A desire to drive the horses led Founder Keith Kloter on a search for a driving vehicle. The search resulted in a two wheeled cart with a unique suspension and an expansion of the farm into the cart and harness business.
In the early 1980s, a shed was purchased to build a harness display that could be taken to local fairs to show the harnesses to horse enthusiasts. There was good interest in the harnesses, but the excitement regarding the shed was incredible. Keith partnered with his then-teenage son, Jason, and began selling sheds, gazebos and children’s swing sets.
As the family and the business grew, Keith’s sons-in-law, Peter Welti and Dave Schneider joined the team. In the early 1990s, an idea to open a store with gifts, home decor and fine furniture
